Being a nomad biker offers you diverse soul-lifting opportunities. You get to meet, interact and travel with amazing people. You’ll also have the chance to enjoy some of the cuteness Mother Nature has to offer.

So, there’s a lot to enjoy by being a nomad biker. You get to tour different countries, camp in the most serene places, have fun, taste diverse cuisines, and more.

Now, are you a nomad or planning to become one? Well, if your answer is no, here are tips on how you can become a nomad without breaking a sweat.

Who Is A Nomad Biker?

Firstly, nomad bikers are humans like the rest of us. They’re people who boast a bike and a keen interest in touring different places on their bikes. Nomad bikers might or might not be bonafide members of a motorcycle group.

Again, nomads aren’t bound by geographical location once they join the nomad club. It’s also possible to be a nomad and not be a member of a motorcycle club.

How To Become A Nomad Biker

So, how can you become a nomad and a fulfilled one, for that matter? Here are some tips to guide you.

Choose to travel and live as a nomad biker:

Nomads travel for a variety of reasons. Some want to discover themselves while others may be on assignment. However, most people may choose to engage in some adventure.

There are endless reasons why people decide to become nomads, but they all have one thing in common: they are looking for a new experience and things to explore. Traveling as a nomad biker offers a unique opportunity to achieve both and more.

Step Two: Get a good bike:

What is a nomad biker without a bike? You may be able to hop on a friend or relative’s bike. But riding your own bike offers more fun.

so, you’re going to need a good bike for your travels, and consider getting a brand new one. An old bike might disappoint you. You need a bike that can handle all the slopes, curves, rocks, sand and unfavorable elements you’ll encounter on the way.

Additionally, ensure you have adequate clothing for the journey. Remember that you’re going to be out in the sun a lot, so you need to protect yourself from the heat. You’ll want to take a hat or cap, glasses, sunscreen, and long sleeves.

Step Three: Cultivate an adventurous mindset:

An avid nomad biker won’t let anything stand in his way. So, if you have plans to go on an adventure, nothing should hold you back.

As a nomad biker, you should always yearn for adventure. And when opportunity presents itself, you should be ready to embrace it.

Step Four: Connect with other nomads!

Nomads are adventurous individuals who don’t mind spending long hours on the road and traveling from city to city. They live in unusual places, speak foreign languages, and like to be open to different cultures.

As a nomad biker, you’ll get the chance to meet some intriguing people who share your love for adventure and would love to go bike riding with you – open up your mind to them.

A Handy Tip: As a motorcycle club member, you can become a nomad when the club’s president assigns you to visit different charters and enforce the club’s rules. One can also become a nomad when you reside in an area where the members aren’t enough to form a charter.

What Every Nomad Biker Must Know

If you decide to become a nomad biker, consider the following things before embarking on that adventure:

  • Your bike should always be in good condition. It shouldn’t be faulty or give related signs before hitting the road with it. You also need to make sure that your bike has enough gas and oil in it, so you can ride for at least a week or two without having to stop for fuel.
  • You’ll need a map of your route since there are many places where GPS data is unavailable. A GPS will not only grant you knowledge of where you are. It will tell you exactly how long it would take to get somewhere.
  • You’ll also need a place to sleep when you’re on the road. You may want to arrange a hotel room in advance by calling a local business or contacting a travel agency. You can also sleep in restaurants, but be ready to manage whatever is available.
  • If you want to take care of all your bookkeeping and other administrative work while traveling, you may want to have some money saved up before leaving since this will help keep things running while you’re on the road. And if this is too much work for you, don’t go on the road.
  • You’ll need lots of clothes since you’re going to be riding for a long time. It’s better if you have extra clothes that you can’t afford to lose so you can always wear something if your favorite shirt gets ruined or lost.
  • It would be helpful to have a backpack or saddlebags where you can store your items. With a saddlebag, you have a higher chance of keeping your money safe. You won’t be caught unaware while sleeping.

Exciting Sites And Scenery For Nomad Bikers

Avid nomads can spend hours on the road for days and months. However, one of the benefits of such an adventure is that you can carry a lot with you and see places that are not easily accessible.

Now, what makes a destination attractive for bikers? Part of the reason is having the ability to be there in person. But please note that accommodation is quite crucial too. If a nomad biker has a place to put up for the night, then it’s a wise destination to visit.

In some areas, bikers might also consider going into small towns, especially those with diverse bars, clubs and a vibrant nightlife. The prices for drinks and food in these places might even be lower than in the city. Again, spending some quality time here can be a great experience for both the biker and locals.
